Why is my shipment held up in customs?
Clearance delays occur for a variety of reasons. Some examples include:
- Missing documentation
- Incomplete, missing, or inaccurate information on documentation
- Additional documentation needed by regulatory agencies
- Processing required by additional regulatory agencies
- Discrete packages depending on state regulatory agencies
- Missing piece(s) of multiple-piece shipment
If additional information is required from the shipper or recipient, EarthMail Express will attempt to contact them. Once all requirements are fulfilled, your shipment will be cleared to move to its final destination.
What options exist for late, lost, or no delivery?
Insured packages get a one time replacement package or insurance cover payment upto the initial cost value of your package after multiple checks and confirmation of missing package.
What are my billing and payment options?
You have payment options including cash deposit, wire transfers,credit cards, cash, checks, EDI, and money orders. You can also set up monthly billing depending on what shipping or insurance option.
What is priority mail express?
Priority Mail Express is the fastest mail service offered by the EarthMail Express. It provides guaranteed 1-Day or 2-Day expedited service by 3 p.m. for any mailable matter and includes $230 of insurance coverage depending on weight and value of package. Priority Mail Express delivery is offered 365 days a year in all our locations.
Do I have to sign in to ship?
No. You can make a one-time credit card shipment. But if you sign in to a EarthMail Express account, you’ll get discounts, an address book, and faster shipment setup.
Does EarthMail Express Delivery Agent provide the option of receiving notifications via text?
Yes, you can sign up for EarthMail Express Delivery Manager text alerts.
How long can a package be held for pickup?
A package will be held at the location for up to 7 days. After that, the package will be returned to the nearest EarthMail Express facility and your tracking information will be updated to show that your package is been held and will be forwarded to customs for checks and eventual delivery after 2 days more. If your package has been returned, call UPS Global customer support for additional assistance
How long will customs documents and shipment information be available online?
Up to two years, depending on the time frame provided by the original shipper.
